We start the application process when we receive your online application form. After we have received confirmation from the relevant charity and our coordinator about your placement, we ask you to submit your non-refundable deposit. This covers the immediate costs we have to bear in reserving your place and housing arrangements. The balance of the full placement fee is to be paid by 30 calendar days before your arrival at the project site. You make additional partial payments up to that point, but the full amount needs to be paid to avoid cancellation and/or postponement of your placement. If you are applying within 30 days of your intended arrival date, the deposit and full placement fee are due as soon as we confirm your placement and are not refundable. Payment is accepted by credit card or bank transfer. All bank transfer costs are the responsibility of the participant. Travel2help.org does not accept bank, personal or cashier's cheques. Cancellation By the participant: Should you wish to cancel for any reason, we will refund part of the placement fee, depending on how many days before the start date the participant cancels. We need to keep a good working relationship with our coordinator and partner organizations, so we must have a time-reducing refund scale. | Number of days before expected arrival | Fees refunded | | 61 days & over | Placement fee minus deposit | | Between 60 & 31 days | 50%
| | 30 days & under | 0% |
By travel2help.org: Travel2help.org reserves the right to cancel any placement at any time prior to departure due to exchange rate fluctuations, terrorism, natural disasters, political instability or other external events which make it impossible for the placement and volunteer work to take place. If, due to the reasons stated above and any other reason not otherwise covered here, travel2help.org finds it necessary to increase the placement fee, the participant has the option of a full 100% refund, including the deposit.
