Learn Spanish in Cusco
As a volunteer or a traveller in Peru, we hope that you seek to know as much about this beautiful country as possible. We can help you do that by offering you the opportunity to learn the Spanish language in the most practical way possible.

To accomplish that, we work with a Spanish school in the heart of Cusco, where native speakers teach Spanish to hundreds of people from around the world every day. The school can match you with a teacher in a group or individual class and adapt the instruction to your existing level of familiarity with the language. Beginners may also start here and immerse themselves in the rich culture of Peru.

The teachers focus on helping you learn the practical Spanish of every day life in Peru and around the world. They work on your speaking, reading, listening, writing and grammar skills by identifying where you need the most help and emphasizing that in their instruction. Besides challenging you every day to improve your skills, they also test you at regular intervals.

Group classes (maximum 4 students per class)
In a small group class you are sure to get both the individual attention and interaction you need to progress as a language student. Classes usually take place for 4 hours a day, either in the morning from 08:30 to 12:50 or in the afternoon, from 14:30 to 18:50. There is always a 30 minute break to give you a chance to relax during classes.

If the school is not able to place you in a 4-person group class for your level, you receive individual classes at the group rate. You may also combine group and individual lessons.

Individual classes
By taking one-on-one lessons, you have the highest degree of flexibility and the opportunity to follow a custom learning plan. You may arrange your classes with your teacher to fit your schedule, as long as you take a minimum 2 hours per session.

This is the best option for beginners or when there is a big difference between your speaking and writing skills. Furthermore, you receive the most individual attention possible and set your own goals that you can work on.

All Travel2help.org volunteers receive individual language instruction as part of their project, to make sure they have the necessary skills to perform their duties and to offer them the opportunity to go home with some additional language skills.

The school has state of the art facilities, in a friendly and constructive environment.

There is free internet access and low-rate international phone calls available for students.
